The Chaplaincy Department now has a new website address. This is now on the Walsall Healthcare Website
We are supported by volunteers, and represent the following faiths:
We are there to share your concerns or celebrate your joys, and pray with you if you wish. We can visit you on your ward or unit. We can also arrange for you to attend a service or prayers in our hospital Chapel and Prayer Room.
Nursing staff can supply you with Holy Books or Prayer Mats as these are available on each ward.

For Hindus, Diwali is for the worship of Mahaa Lakshmi, the Goddess of Wealth and Prosperity. For Sikhs, Diwali (Bandi Chhorth Diwas or Day of Freedom from Imprisonment) marks the release of Guru Hargobind Ji from the Gwalior Fort, in the Indian State of Madhya Pradesh.

Please ask the nursing staff if you would like to see a Chaplain or Faith Representative. They can also assist you to make contact with your own Priest, Minister or Faith Leader.
For emergencies, we offer a 24/7 on-call service. Please ask nursing staff to contact the relevant Chaplain or Faith Representative through Switchboard (telephone: 01922 721172, or extension 0 from within the hospital).
There are two places for prayer and worship:
Prayer and Quiet Room, also West Wing, Level 1 (on main corridor).
Both are open to everyone. Separate prayer areas can be created with curtains and screens.

Wednesday: Holy Communion at 1:05 pm
Friday: Muslim Prayers Time Varies
